A NEW WAY OF NEUROLOGICAL DEVELOPMENT

who we are

A young girl with curly hair in a bun, wearing a pink Minnie Mouse sweatshirt and matching pink pants, is holding a green frisbee inside a gym or fitness center.

Disability Fitness is the first specialized center in Montenegro dedicated to children and youth with developmental disabilities, which provides customized fitness programs, sports rehabilitation and innovative therapeutic methods. Since its foundation, our goal has been clear - to improve the quality of life of children with special needs through expertly guided, individually adapted programs that encourage physical, motor and cognitive development.

Our work is based on many years of experience, professional education and following the latest global trends in the field of rehabilitation and sports programs for people with disabilities. Through working with children and their families, we have developed a methodology that combines physical activity, motor games, sensory stimulation and psychological support, creating an environment where the child can progress at his own pace, with maximum safety and motivation.

Our mission

Our mission is to provide innovative, effective and safe treatments that help children with developmental disabilities to:

  • improve motor and cognitive abilities,

  • develop coordination, strength and endurance,

  • improve focus and attention,

  • feel satisfaction and self-confidence through movement.

We are proud to be the first in the Balkans and Europe to introduce the Neuro-Cortex method, a completely new and modern method that combines physical activity, neuroplasticity and motor-sensory therapy.

The Neuro-Cortex method is designed to:

  • activates brain centers responsible for movement, coordination and balance,

  • stimulates neuroplasticity - the brain's natural ability to create new neural connections,

  • improve focus, attention and movement control in children with developmental disabilities,

  • accelerate the results of traditional physical and occupational therapy.

This approach represents a revolution in working with children with special needs, because it combines classic fitness and rehabilitation techniques with the most modern neurotherapeutic principles, providing a comprehensive and effective treatment.

It represents an integrated, brain-first approach to child development. The focus is on the activation and strengthening of the brain centers, especially the frontal lobe (cortex), through the synergy of modern technologies and targeted development exercises. It is a multi-layered therapeutic strategy that helps children gain better control over movement, learning, attention and emotional regulation — through natural, safe and targeted stimuli.

Why is this method effective?

Activation of brain pathways: laser stimulation (photobiomodulation) directly affects cells - increases ATP, improves circulation and reduces inflammation, which facilitates brain renewal.

  • Activation of the frontal lobe: especially important for reflex control and self-regulation - when these parts are awakened, children can better learn and work with their bodies.

  • Scientifically supported method: using lasers of red and infrared light through laser diodes, the effects are deeper than with LED sources, providing a proven transformation without unwanted consequences.

How do we apply the Neuro-Cortex Method?

In our center:

  • Individualized approach: After the initial assessment, we create a personalized therapy plan based on the child's needs.

  • Safe laser equipment: We use clinically approved lasers in safe, controlled doses — with therapeutic application expertise.

  • Structured reflex sessions: We connect all exercises with laser stimulation, so that the frontal cortex becomes an active driver of development.

  • Progress Monitoring: We use graphics, video and behavior audits after each stage for transparency for parents.

  • Parent education: We provide short training on exercises that you can do at home, so that the therapy is effective even outside the center.

Our vision

Our goal is for Disability Fitness to become a reference center in the region, a place where families find professional support, expertise and innovation. We continuously invest in staff education, state-of-the-art equipment and the application of methods that bring visible results, because we believe that every child deserves a chance to achieve their maximum.
